Took car out tonight at the track. Keep in mind my car is an auto, It was running on 91 octane, and was at 7 PSI of boost.

1st run:
1/2 tank of 91 fuel
spare tire
floored it taking off so basically started from a dead stop
air intake temp starting 120 ending 80
coolant 201 deg
stayed in 3rd gear

7 PSI boost
1/4 mile 15.6 @ 92 mph
60 ft 2.6

2nd run: BEST RUN
1/2 tank of 91 fuel
spare tire
kept it at 2000 rpms off the line
air intake temp 125 ending 86
coolant 205 deg
stayed in 3rd gear

7 PSI boost
1/4 mile 15.2 @ 96 mph
60 ft 2.3

I would have got into the high 13's low 14's with 100 octane and more boost. I am going to get a boost controller asap (juan you never shipped me the MBC :D wink wink) Anyways, there you have it, thats what an auto will do with pump gas and 7 psi with HiBoost turbo. I will go to dyno soon once I get my boost controller. I also drove her pretty easy tonight since I just put the new injectors in, wanted to see what she would do. Next time with more boost Ill drive her harder.

Peace- Trav

Cool. . .
Not knocking, but I was hoping for more. Is the slushbox that much worse in 1/4 time. I thought 1/4 mile times stock were 16.5 (MP3 maybe). Anyway, that's still a good jump. Glad to hear it is running well too. Enjoy! (laugh)

mines an auto ;) it ran 18.5 stock I have the slip :D

so with 13 psi and race fuel in the low 14's MAYbe even high 13's from a 18.5... im happy.

again this is for now, new internals and boost and level 10 tranny.. this high 14 low 15 is just bunk but it will do for now

Gotcha!
That is one heck of an improvement then. Very cool. Sorry if I sounded negative, I wasn't trying to I just didn't know.

I guess I should try to swing down for a MO meet to check it out some time. . .very interested, very cool.

blah, you werent negative. its still slow but im working on it.

meets are good. i want to go to OK and meet up but Vic and Patrick think i am joking... :p :D :) ;)

Those are good times for an auto I'd say. Do you have the time slips or could you post all of the info that the time slip had?

Why didn't you run 10psi? Don't you normally run 10?

once i loaded the new mapping and crap and injectors it now runs at 7 (runs way awesome now compared to what it did at 10) i am trying to get a boost conroller trust me i want to run 13.

i have one slip its very light printed i tried to scan but no luck , the second pass they were changing the ribbon and i had to go to the tower to get my times and onnly got to write down what i posted.

lance (freekwonder) was there, in fact he raced with me next to me both times. he can vouch for my times.

i will try to get the slip from home and post all the data from the first run, very hard to see.

i plan to get 15 in rota sub zeros, up the boost to 13 and run race gas and will get into the 13's prolly low 14s is obvious.

the wheels i have are heavy, with the new ones the tranny will love it.

to go from a 18.5 to a soon 13 something is amazing to me in an auto. hell just with 7 psi was a 3 sec diff that is just kick ass!

i am one happy sob.

Are you getting any wheelspin in 1st gear? If you are, a set of good tires will still drop your 60's.. Your trappin at 96 which is MSP territory and should put you into the 14's.

If you are running the haltech and it's tuned for 91 octane, then switching to 100 octane might not yield the results you are looking for. If the stock ECU recognizes a higher knock threshold and adds timing it may put down a little more power, but not as much as if you were to pull out the extra fuel it isn't using anymore.

Good results nonetheless!

Hey Trav,

Those are very good results for an auto at 7 psi. The lighter wheels will make a huge difference. Those are the times of a MSP with LSD and standard tranny. There are some people running those same times with standard tranny and same boost levels.

You can run 14 to 15 psi with the injectors that you have and don't worry about the mapping. It's mapped up to 15 psi. Run the 100 or 110 octane. We did the dyno run at 14 on 100 octane with that exact map and same injectors (260 WHP).

Good Job!

Juan

he was going to run race octane (ok i was pushing him to run race octane and up the boost) but he had like 3/4 of a tank of 91 so i wouldnt have done much. and ya the time slips sucked. i can barely read my 17.1 time on the first run. and the 2nd run we had to go to the tower. but i was actually fun watching the p5 wagon blow by me.

wow after hearing ur guys times im surprised what i ran a 16.567 @81.78(i redlighted .433) and all i did was cut off all my cats.,run open exhaust with a mhp cai , 1/4tank no spare . that really help me out becaues the day before i have my car all stock+bigass speakerbox and best run was 17.867@76.32 heres the slips "stock"

SORRY FOR THE BIG PICs

do you have a sport shifter or just full auto...if just full auto try leaving it in 1 until red, then 2 until red and so forth...dont know if you did but thats the closest to manual youll get....not bad times...at 4psi with manual i got a 15.3 my best...buring out all of 1st and 2nd gears, chirping 3rd

yes i do have a full autotranny and duMb KeoLa ur right on the shifting part (1-2-d is the best way to get the best times on a a/t)
