btw, i thought you didnt like black/gunmetal or 5-spokes?

Hyperblack is the darkest I'd go but I do like how they look... that's why I was asking :).

and yes I thought the same thing about Wheelmax being their only distributor I could find.

Maybe I'd be better off getting some Rota Subzeros? The 17x7.5 weighs 16 lbs. Our stock wheels are what, 18?

so I got a reply back that the rims were 18lbs apiece (exel). It was in all caps, so whatever... offset on them is +45 btw.

I figured there had to be more than 1 support rep there. So I asked the question again for both the 17" and 18". Answer I got:

sorry, but exel does not give us the weights

Interesting how an earlier inquiry gave me an answer. Hmm, which should I trust? (braindead

I agree with everyone else (well, most): avoid Excel wheels. Spend some extra cash to get a better wheel - you'll understand the first time you bend an Excel.

yeah that's what I was thinking as well. The more I think about it, the more I think I would rather just wait until next summer. Even if I did get new rims, I'd be using the stock rims and stock tires for the winter anyhow. Might as well get through these Dunlops sooner rather than later...

Unless anyone knows of a good wheel that's a 5-spoker somewhat similar to the Exel I picked out? It doesn't have to have the rivets, but I like the idea of the two narrow spokes designed to look like a 5-spoke. (shrug)

Hi,

The weight on the wheel approximately is 23.If you have any questions please do not hasitet to contact us.

Thank you.

Now I have 3 different responses. w00t

I have exel wheels and haven't bent one (been really lucky) but they're heavy so I recommend something else. Maybe spend a bit more dough and get rotas.

This is f-d up. They have apicture of them installed on a mini cooper. When I tell it I have a mini cooper, they aren't selectable. ugh.
