I'm sorry for making this thread, but I suck when it comes to tires and rims.
I'm trying to buy a set of 16" rims and tires for my Mazdaspeed during the winter. The MSP rims are 17" with +55 offset. So I'm wondering if going down to a 16" rim with only +40 offset will still be OK (with a 205-55/16 tire compared to the stock 215-45/17). Will the tires stick outside of the wheel well? If so, any guess on how much? Unfortunately the highest offset tires.com offers in 16" is a mere +42.
Also, does anybody know what the offset is on a stock P5 16 incher? I need to know what offset they have stock -- I've been trying to buy P5 rims but nobody wants to sell theirs.
