Dealer/Manufacturer Accesories

Anybody out there know what accesories can be installed by the manufacturer and what ones that must be installed by the dealership?

Basically, Is it "fair" for a dealership to charge installations for the following accesories? Oh, and how many hours do you think it should take for the dealer to install all of these options:

1. Rear spoiler
2. Compass/auto dimmer mirror
3. Lower door moldings
4. Decorative ttrim panel
5. Alloy wheel locks
6. Cargo Mat
7. Cargo Net
8. Pedal Set
9. Door Edge Guards
10.Window tints

All of those are installed by the dealership.

1,2,3 - Dealer will charge you 2 hours of labour
4 - 1 hour
5 - 0.5 hour
6 - do it yourself
7 - do it yourself especially if your have a HB
8 - do it yourself (OEM pedal set simply snap on)
9 - do it yourself
10 - don't go through the dealership, they'll overcharge you

Anyone with a socket set, and the factory lug wrench/prybar should be able to install wheel locks in less than 5 minutes. DO IT YOURSELF, ESPECIALLY IF THE DEALER IS GOING TO CHARGE FOR A HALF A FRIGGIN HOUR.

It's just 4 lug nuts!

I just bought the pedals, but I won't be able to put them on or take pictures until Tuesday. The car is at the dealership for the weekend getting other parts intalled.

If you want them, call you dealer and they will place the order. I called last Tues. and they came Thurs (two days, not to shabby). I paid $55 and I think dealer cost is around $45-50.

Also, they just became available, so most web sites won't have them.
