*** Dealer called me today about my motor mount***

So I woke up this morning to a voice mail from my mazda dealer about a very important motor mount inspection that needs to be done asap. So I give them a call back and they said we need to get you in as soon as you can to check you mounts. I now have a appointment today at 2pm, i'll keep you guys informed what happends from here.

Any updates Rob?

Just got back in from the dealer. I'm not sure what they did but they had my car for an hour. I picked it up and they said they ordered me a bolt that needed to be replaced for the mount. Also they said they would look at the mount at the same time when changing the bolt and if the mount shows any kind of wear and if so they would change that to a newer(and improved mount), but they don't know if I already have that mount untill they take it a part. So as of right now i just have to wait till the bolt comes in and go from there, so i'll keep this thread updated as things go.

I called my dealer and they said at 1pm yesterday they got the letter from Mazda and we are all getting letters for a recall. They said to wait about 2 weeks and call back because other then the letter thats all they have at this time. It will be about 2 weeks to get the parts they said and along with them will be instructions for the speed tech to follow according to the recall.

So its finally done and now we can put this s*** to rest. Funny the service chick I talked to is the same one I spoke with 2 months ago about all this and she remebers the conversation. It was a sort of "I told you so" thing I was going for because they wouldnt do s*** and played stupid to the matter back then.

Thats awesome that they called you... i was just at mazda yesterday and they didnt say anything to me about it... im wondering if its only certain dealerships that are doin it.

I'm pretty sure it's the back mount. Most the claims are for the back mount while maybe 2 people have had issues with the side if i have it correct.

i go in friday at 11:30
i posted this yesterday, and it was posted by a delaer oand a member that got an email from mazda that a recall is out. the parts are suppose to be in today to thursday! supose to be a longer new bolt and lock washer.
some cars were fixed at port. but its every car from june 28 2006 - may 19 2007. so pretty much every speed3 build date!

Dear Mazda Dealer,

We regret to inform you that retail delivery of certain 2007 MAZDASPEED3 models in your inventory must immediately be suspended. Mazda Motor Corporation has decided to conduct a voluntary Safety Recall (# 4607F) to replace the No. 4 engine mount bolt on certain 2007 MAZDASPEED3 vehicles produced from June 28, 2006 through May 19, 2007.

On certain MAZDASPEED3 vehicles, the No. 4 engine mount tightening bolt may loosen if a sudden/rapid acceleration is repeatedly performed. If the vehicle is continuously driven under such condition, the No. 4 engine mount bolt may loosen and fall out or break, allowing the transmission to be out of position. In extreme cases, the driveshaft may become detached. If this occurs the vehicle will immediately lose power, come to a stop and be inoperable.

thats the info RonTonkin mazda got! and a few peeps have gotten emails already!
