Okay, I thought I would try a new approach to this forum stuff. Please only post if you have a tip or something useful to say about the steps that I am or should be taking. I want this thread to be as clean as possible because lately I have been hearing about the forum having to much jibber jabber. I think this might be a great way to share info for each member's project.
I am currently assembling a forged block to drop into my P5 so that my Hiboost system with E6X will be comfortable going up to 25psi. I just received my JE 8.5:1 pistons from Perfworks last week and my engine builder has all my parts to balance the assemble and Oring the block for my RCC gasket. I chose not to overbore because I want to retain as much strength in the cylinder walls as I can. The JEs will pass the power via Pauter rods gliding on Toga Hi-performance main and rod bearings, all supported by ARP studs. The indigo flywheel is mated to a ACT SS clutch and then to the standard transmission with the upgraded fork and ring from 2003+. Also the Mazdaspeed LSD will be installed. I am seriously wondering if it's worth $150 to cryofreeze my transmission. Anyone?!
Right now, I have the Hiboost kit and my block will be milled and balanced for next week. Any tips with the engine swapping process or is there something I should take care of before the block is assembled?
