Daylight Savings Time - Too Tough for Mazda?

Wife's 2025 CX-5 shows wrong time. CX-5 won't automatically change to correct DST. Have to check/uncheck a box twice a year.

Meantime... $65 security cam correctly sets clock.

My wife’s ‘23 CX50 will not change time either. Everything is set correctly. Manually changed clock… put GPS back on… time instantly reverted back to incorrect time. WTF.

Every state has different DST rules. Check the box if it applies to you.

Huh? Both of my Mazdas get the clock info from my phone, and both are showing the current and correct time.

In my area, my 2016.5 GT does it properly. At least when GPS=yes.

Earlier this year I had correctly set the time zone, correctly set DST=yes, set GPS-driven-changes=no, and then correctly set the time.

The day prior to the time change, I noticed the time had sped up about 2mins. On the morning after the time change, I noticed the time was still a couple minutes ahead ... and that it had failed to do the time change. But the moment I set the GPS=yes, a second or two later it then auto-reset the time ("fall back") to the correct time, also correcting the additional couple minutes it had been off during the year. Which is what I would have expected.

So, in my case, it seems to automatically recognize the time change IF the GPS=yes is set. (At least when setting GPS=yes after the fact, in a new time-change period.) I'll leave the values as they are until this coming March 9, to see whether it correctly auto-adjusts.

My newly purchased 2025 CX-5 Preferred was an hour off too so had to uncheck the box to fix it. I do have the use GPS box checked too.

I used my 2020 C8 Corvette as a trade in for the CX-5 and it made the change automatically without me having to do anything. I guess the C8 is a little smarter than the CX-5.

Mine shows the wrong time. That's ok, If anything, when the time comes to revert back to the original time, it'll be correct. ;)

I clicked GPS on and off. Didn't help.

As stated prior, my wife does NOT want to connect her phone.

If Mazda expects EVERYONE to connect a phone, that should be stated in the manual. (Never mind that it's an insane assumption).

Infotainment doesn't handle DST properly. It should be.
I have second gen Mazda with the, i think, second gen infotainment, 7 inches screen, not the 10 inches. Never had a problem with the DST. It just does it automatically, once i figured it out what box to check or uncheck. You probably heard this before but try again, this time take your time, play with the settings, it must be something that you've missed, maybe you have the wrong UTC offset.

How to change the clock in a 2022 Mazda

I assume the 2025 has the same infotainment. If what it says in this video it's true, then you should set the correct UTC offset ( Time zone, GMT - 05:00 or whatever time zone you are in) and then check the box for GPS Time Synchronization.

Tried it. No dice. In this 2025 Preferred, you must manually check/uncheck the box each year.
Then, maybe there is a satellite reception issue with your car? Do you you have navigation installed on the car, does it work? Not the one through carplay/android auto, I am asking about the Mazda navigation. If you do not have the maps installed, you should still be able to see the latitude and longitude. But if you don't see this info, it may be a satellite/GPS related issue.

Lat/Lon shows. And it's roughly correct (per my memory of my loc).
