I believe it is (nonabsorbant), but how can I tell? And yes, that is part of the appeal for me - extra sound insulation without the extra weight. It may not work quite as well as the dynamat, etc, but it will be better than how the car is currently. Good point about the firewall, I'll keep that in mind, thanks.FoxPro5 said:

Sorry, didn't mean to thread jack ya there. I was more interested in why people put 6.5"'s in the front instead of 6x8's. Just cearious cause I am upgrading my speakers soon.
Eerrrrrrkkkkk.....crash......hit a snag.
False floor fits great. The amp box/rack is good and is going to it nice. The box simply won't work. I don't know exactly what happened when I measured for fitment. I guess when your dealing w/ a square box and a round hole it's easy though. Looks like I may be fiberglassing after all. Also the box was a little too tall. I wan't the false floor to fit as close to original height as possible. Looks like (after much measuring, staring and scratching my head) that it is going to be 3" above original height. So I will keep my floor and amp box the same and redo the sub-box.
I will keep everyone posted as progress is made.
