Dash Mat

Is anyone currently using a dash mat or interested in one for their 5? I've never really had one before, but the large dash area makes me concerned about potential sun damage over the years. I have done a little searching, but not found much out there. Right now I am waiting on a quote from a seller that does custom mats for various cars on eBay. Hopefully they will get a quote back int eh near future.

I like the original dash look and feel. maybe down the years when car is older and dash covers become better looking than the dash itself.

For now I use those shiny folding sunshade when parking the vehicle under the sun.

I think the dash mat look is not a good one. Almost like having a plastic cover on a couch. I think as long as your taking care of the dash with some sort of spray protectant, it should be fine.

Like the other person said, a good sunshade is also helpful.

Always used armor all and sunshades, but the wife drive the 5... She isn't very interested in using the sunshades...

if the wife is driving the 5, then yes. Go ahead put the thickest dash mat available. Make sure it is not permanent so you can remove it when your turn comes.
