I just added Dave Bodde's Chrome gauge rings and they look sooo sweet!....
Anyway while I was doing it I thought about fiddling with the bulbs in the cluster.
I found that all the bulbs with the brown plastic back have an orange rubber coating on them. I removed the orange coating (looks like a rubber for light bulbs..).
The gauge lights actually look a little brighter and a lighter orange color. I think it looks cool. But what does it is that around each needle it glows a greenish color and that reflects on the chrome rings which makes the chrome gauge rings glow.
It is an awesome sight!!!!
Anyone else tried anything like this? Or even changed the color alltogether or does that require a new gauge overlay.
