Darksun gets Dyno'd

As some of you know i juust recently traded in my cobalt ss/sc for a True red MS3. A month ago i got my cobalt dyno'd on this exsact dyno and put down 232whp 215 TQ. and now for my MS3

first run was right off the street after doing some practice digs.

Second run was after a 10 minute cool down with a fan on the Fetus aka stock top mount

Amazing disparity amongst the runs as you can see.

This pretty much proves its very hard to get reliable results on a Dyno when it comes to what a mod does to the powerband. I'm with Laloosh in thinking that it probably is best to find out what your trap speed in the 1/4 is to find out if you are making progress or not.

it is what it is i guess. I got my cobalt dyno'd in the same place im not straying from this dyno and our whole crew has had 2 dyno days there with'n 2months of each other so if anything im using the dyno for what i gain stock then with mods. high numbers just look pretty on the screen.

Also notice where the guy had the mouse where I shift at and notice how much the power feel off by that point. s*** is crazy if you rev out a gear god only knows how slow your making yourself go......

i know we make no power up top. but does anyone dyno their cars to redline??? most of the ones i see, people seem to be letting go of the gas early. just let that sucker hit the rev-limiter, and it will hit it!!!

stock 08 built 8/07. I picked it up two weeks ago beat on it from jump. Changed the oil at 220 miles and here i am now dynoing with 1500 miles on the clock

cool man, get some kind of boost contorler and raise that puppy to 18psi its awsome!!!! and cut out all 3 resinators its cheap effective and sounds mean!!

long story short im in a bet that i can show self control so i can't mod till 2/11. But i told the shop i'll be showing up on 2/12 with a test pipie BC and SRI to see what i gained.

Also i don't want people to get the wrong idea im not bragging about my number but i needed to have a base line dyno for when i throw my mods on. then after we see the gains i can tell how im doing.

I baselined the exact same. Then testpipe took it to 260whp. A mapclamp, bc 18psi and intake, should net 285-300whp. Just test it the same each time. With fan on it. Good job. Did you see the afr's off the chart rich like I did stock. LOL

sigh, now you do this...after i take of half my mods lol. give me 2 weeks ill be back in action on the next dyno day just for s**** and giggles. Great numbers...whats the deal with tomorrow should i even bother coming being that all i have is an exhaust and fuel pump? intake sold, ems sold.
