Damn speeding tickets

It changes by county because it's determined by population per square mile, at least that's how it is in ohio.

True Im learning that now, but how is it that some states have speed limits that are total speed traps. Other states 75mph others 65mph is the max. I know 85 speed limit changes per county it passes thru. Why so each county can get a chance at the monies generated by stoping safely traveling(other than speeding)cars. Belive me
Ive paid enough tickets and hopefully this will be the last. ALL THEY WANT IS MONEY. If you pay enough it goes away and everyone is happy. The court gets paid the lawyer gets paid the cops still looks good we get to keep driving(hopefully). And to make it worse Radar detectors are illegal and the state police dont lock your speed into their radar. So if a cop says your traveling above 80mph(reckless driving in VA) and you say no 75mph it s your word against theirs and guess what..........MONEY!!

Yea Va is known for this. They Live off of Moving Violations. Sadly I've had to learn the hard way. What advice I can give you is that if you have an out of state License, they won't be able to pull up your record. So thats a PLUS!. Other then that get a good lawyer, if u haven't already gotten one and you'll be str8.

Lemme explain the money thing to ya since you don't know how it works. When you pay a ticket in the state of NC, you are paying court costs, baliff fees and education. The MAJORITY of each ticket is spent to pay for this states education. Depending on where you got the ticket, it goes to THAT county's school system. So each time you get a ticket, my kid gets new stuff in school. Thanks, he really enjoys music class the most.

School Funds?!?!?!? Why not use a lottery instead?

I GOT PULLED IN VA!!!!! They already have a a source for monies for education. Their own lottery.

VA is a money hungry state with BS traffic laws. There is no reason to not allow radar dec. and for the cops to not lock in your speed when they clock you. And your proving my point I dont care what the fines go to pay. Its all about generation of money

NC loses litterally billions in over the border lottery spending. It sux. We could use the money back home. If you ask your local police department or attorney general's office, they should be able to tell you where that money goes. It would be interesting to find out in Va. That is really a rich state.
