what is up with all these old people stealing all of our sports cars? they all go out and buy them before we even have a chance to go and look at them. That pisses me off. they need to stick to their Cadillacs and Buicks.

you got a ******* problem with "old people" buying good fun to drive cars because they want to feel like they're alive? you're pissing off a bunch of people out there

sucks to be you that you can't hurry your ass up to check out the cars

LOL! Somehow I just felt old ....

Two questions:
1. Define OLD
2. Define Sports car? (at the risk of incurring the wrath of my fellow forum members the Mazda 3 and/or MS3 dont qualify as Sports cars..)

I'm talking like 70-80 years old
And buying like Bmw's, and worst of all the EVO, and RX-7. I was going to look at a 93 RX-7, i got over there and the guy said that some old guy just came and payed cash for it. $ 18,000!!!!! Cash!!! I asked him how old, he said looked in his 70's.

if i was able to drive any performance car in my 70's, you're damn straight i'd be buying one.

/now get off my lawn

All I know I'm going to be one of those old guys pissing off the young punks when I grow up. I used to be jealous of them until I started to realize that most of them punch the gas harder than I do. Now my anger is directed toward the chubby old ladies in the C7 corvettes that drive 10 under the speed limit while putting on their eyeliner.

Hahaha - yes.

I'll be going in the other direction ... I'm already scouting for the perfect '57 BelAir that someone has dumped 50K into ... for 30K.

lol you right thats the most anoying thing , old ladies with a8 slines, bmw m6 , m5 and the worst even porches and driving 10 to 15 under speed limit that pissed me off!!!(gun)

I don't have a problem with the older generation buying sports cars.

However... I don't understand the people who buy these exotics (usually "old" enough to afford these) that have 2~3 times more power than my car and drive 5~10 mph under the speedlimit. >_<

*edit* I just noticed that few others have said the exact same thing while I was writing my post. ^_^;;

I know quite a few people in their 50's-60's and even older (John Fitch for instance) that drive high performance vehicles. They can handle them, they don't have anything to prove to anyone and they can afford them. Why not get one? These same guys could probably hand you your ass on the track too. Experience and patience.

Why a Porsche instead of a Lotus Elise?
