Dammit..the red doesnt match.

I painted several things today to match under my hood, including the battery tie down, the radiator clips, the oil cap, the dipstick, the powersteering cap, and some other cap...and dammit the red turns out an orangish color...

should i attempt to keep buying paint in hopes of finding a deeper red like the strut bar comes stock, orjust go buy gloss black paint and paint over it?

i used red caliper paint on my valve color and it matches close to the factory red on the strut bar. the paint i used is VHT ( racing red)

no i had blue on my valve cover so i was going to highlight in red...where did you get the VHT from? what brand?

just paint the strut bar the same "red"

if u repaint sand down any clearcoat u put on, if not just a light sanding and then start over with primer and paint on top of the old one. dont need to strip it all, just healthy primer and paint 2nd time.
