all,
after i fill the fuel tank fully, the maximum distance apears less than before.
i live in middle east where they use kilometer not mile on the info display.
when i fill the tank it was showing 800 km but now it shows only 560KM
when i use the trip counter.i can drive 550 max in a full tank of fuel.
im wondering what is the reason?
anybody had the same?

This range number will change throughout the life of the vehicle, and is based on your average consumption. The computer learns what the average fuel economy of the car is and adjusts the range accordingly. This number will change with speed and how hard you accelerate as well. I think generally the manufactures say these are ONLY estimates and not to use it as the primary way to determine how far you can go.

Example: When I first got my car the range was listed at about 300 miles by the computer (pretty bad, based on how big the tank is). But after I drove it through the first tank and filled it up the range went up to 400 miles (more what I expected). This was because the car probably idled a lot on test drives and stuff on the dealership lot, so the fuel economy the computer knew was terrible. After normal driving, it started to change. With repeated normal driving it should find a relatively accurate number to report to you.
