Cx5 rear diff do not work

Hi guys,

I recently buy a beautiful cx5 gs 2015 awd. This car was damaged and used . about 18k kilometers and only the bumper fender radiators and some other parts such as fuse box etc was damaged. Also airbag.

The car is now fixed but my rear diff do not work.

When my front wheels are stock in the ice and snow, rear wheels do not turn. Nothing happens. Is it possible that the rear magnetic clutch are linkd to the fuse box??? can someone help me? Thx




And yes its a awd car and the rear diff is not damagedlol.

Yes, the rear clutch is controlled by the AWD module and the AWD module depends upon data from about 4 or 5 other modules. But the entire network has a self-diagnostic system integrated. If the system is not working properly there should be some stored error codes to point you in the right direction.

BTW, do you have winter tires?

Do you have a CEL or "4WD" light on
Do you have torque (free) and a Bluetooth obd2 reader ($5-10) or some other *up to date* method of reading codes?

No lights, yes winter tire with nails . Do not have obd2 reader but my friends have one. I will scan the car as soon as i can.

Were you going in reverse or forward as it will make a difference going backward especially from a stop position.

Tried this. But nothing changes, also tried to disabled the tcs.
