CX-9 vs. Saturn Outlook (or others)

The cx-9 is TERRIBLE in the snow in fact it is the WORST AWD suv I have ever driven or owned.

So trade it in and get an Acadia. Simple as that.

By the way, what brand tires came with your CX-9? Snow driving is all about tires. People are starting to report in on winter driving with the CX-9 (no big issues so far), would be interesting to see if a certain brand is better than another.

Really a driving lesson?? The same driver has made it up the driveway in snowy conditions with the following vehicles: Mitsubishi Montero,Chrysler town & Country, Mitsubishi Outlander , GMC Acadia, and Mitsubishi Endeavor.
The truth is the AWD system is worthless on this vehicle and is ABSOLUTELY not worth the $$..The title of this thread is CX-9 vs Saturn Outlook (or others)
GO WITH OTHERS!!

This is how I did my narrowing down between the Saturn and the CX-9. 1. Opened internet browser 2. Typed in broken Saturn 622,00 pages 3. Typed broken Mazda 446,000 pages. Sold! I have had some major issues dealing with the repairs on my fathers Saturn lw wagon, mainly going good for damage caused and false diagnostics for $1,900. I test drove the Acadia and while attempting to stop I hit the break and accelerator at the same time. Big feet? No, poor pedal spacing.

Saturn Outlook and Mazada CX-9

I wanted to thank this forum as well as others in helping me buy some cars. I recently bought a 2008 Saturn Outlook XR and a 2008 Mazda CX-9 GT. I can't remember all of the options but they both are nicely optioned with most everything except Nav / towing / DVD. For those who are still looking here is my quick take.

Exterior:
Outlook - more suv
CX-9 - more tall wagon

Interior:
Outlook - roomier feel
CX-9 - cockpit feel

Drive:
Outlook - cruiser
CX-9 - sporty

Equipment:
Depends what you like. I find each car has its merits.

MPG:
Both about 18mpg on mostly street driving.

I generally have to agree with professional journals and articles in their assesment of these vehicles. They are both nice and each satisfies a different need.

I have noticed a trend in the past year or two. A lot of the new crossovers like the CX9 also are the companies best vehicle they've ever made. That is certainly true of the CX9, but also the lamdas, easily the best thing GM has ever put out. Also the Tribeca for Subaru, the Veracruz for Htundai, etc. Too bad Nissan and Ford chose not to compete. (The Edge is a turd)\

hope u wont get sick taking that saturn to dealer monthly cause most saturns and gmcs love their dealers...
