CX-9: Toronto Purchase Price

Hi folks,

I am about to buy a CX-9 (GS - Fwd)...

Would you mind sharing the following with me:

Price you paid in the GTA (how much off msrp, misc taxes, total out the door)?

Who your dealer was.. would you recommend them?

How was your buying experience??

Thanks in Advance,

TSXKid

Try this: www.CarCostCanada.com

This message confirms that Oakville Mazda has agreed to sell you a new
2007 Mazda CX-9 AWD 4dr GT for only $1699 over the total wholesale price plus an administration fee of $0.

This represents a discount of $2931 off the total retail price.

I believe he is an Ontario CX-9 owner and he's passing along the deal he got through carcost Canada. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me, I doubt you would get that large of a discount out west.

Sorry, for the misunderstanding, Mazda3 you are correct!

TSX - Did you end up buying? If so I am asking all the same questions you asked in your original post.

I'm also in the GTA and just starting to look at the CX-9 but I have some good rapor with two dealers due to the MZ3 Sport we got in April

IMHIP2:

I haven't bought yet... A good thing because there is a $3500 rebate on the 07 right now.

However, when I was wheeling and dealing last month, I was offered $500 over car cost canada's invoice..

So: $500 over invoice
Freight and Pdi
Gas / Air Tax
Pst / Gst
ON THE ROAD.. zooooom zooooooooooom!

Let me know how you make out!!

TSX - Thanks for the reply

You must be talking to M of T as they are the CCC reps in TO. I was able to beat the CCC price on the MZ3 so I'm sure I could again.

If I can find an 07 GT 2WD in Blue I may just go for it depending on trade (and if I can fit all the kids comfortably in it). The 08 with the greater hp/torq and std bluetooth is appealing but I don't want to pay for AWD which is now std on the GT but I do want leather which is unavailable on the GS.

I know Dave Wood has an 07 GT AWD in Blue in the showroom. Looks good but they would not deal on the MZ3 we bought so I doubt they will deal on a CX-9!

I'll check back in if I get anywhere.

Damn! The Canadians have got a good deal going. For the US, there is a $1000 MAC rebate only on the Sport models. For Touring and GT, we have 0.0% fiancing for 36 months. There are no rebates in lieu of financing.

LOL - thats only because we are getting supremely ripped off in the first place.

$39,595 GS 2WD (sport? we have no touring) $43,955 GT 2WD and for options $2000 AWD, $1495 Lux, $3235 Nav, and 1520 Rear Ent. plus $1320 PDI and then add 14% tax to the whole load. Then you can finance at 3.9% for 36 months. We need $8500 off just to be comparable to you guys!

Also, Canadians pay more at the pump. But look at the bright side: Free Education, Free Healthcare, Free retirement benefits. :)

$3,500 is also only off the 2WD.

Ah yes we do enjoy some "free" perks. :)

Gas - yes we pay slightly more but on my recent trip through Mi, In, Il, Mn, Nd I was paying about $10 less a tank with the exchange on my Ody.

Ok, here's my suggestion: Surrender you passport and move to Canada.

Think about it for a sec - the Canadian $$ is on the rise. Infact, we are this close to par with your greenback.

Back in the early 70's, Canada had the stronger dollar. So, come on UP!

P.S. Toronto winters are far less potent than N.Y. City (less snow).

You commin??

What can I say, I love my country!!

Ok... tell me your stratagy: How did you better invoice?

As for dealers I dealt with: Ontario Mazda, Gyro Mazda - Oakville Mazda would have done it had I pushed a little more
