CX-9 Ignition Coil Resistance

2008 CX-9 with 70K miles; supposedly the secondary coil resistance spec. is 5-6K ohms Checked all mine today (I was going to replace spark plugs) and the lowest reading I got was 8M ohms. A few of the coils had such high resistance the meter wouldn't even register a reading, just showed OL.

1.) I'm curious what experience others have had?
2.) This is probably a joke but any chance the coil replacement would be covered under the 80K 96 month emissions warranty?

No codes, it does have a clunk in 6th that some have referred to as "trailer hitching" in other threads. In some cases this clunk, surge, trailer hitching, or jerking has been the result of an engine misfire. Most people have said that they thought it was a transmission issue, and that was my first reaction but the misfire premise does make sense, so with no codes I thought I'd start by inspecting the spark plugs and ignition coils.
