Custom P5/MP3 Shiftnobs

My name is Colin Murray and I live in Bakersfield, Ca. Im making custom shift nobs for P5/MP3 owners only. They can be made of alluminum or Stainless Steel 71/70 (which is a better grade than found in your silverwear). Anyone can contanct me and give me the dimmensions of the nob you wish to have on your car. Because of the time, these nobs are not cheap. Although alluminum will cost you less, I personally like the stainless because it allows the driver to throw faster on the stock shifter. PS: Rubber grips can also be seated into the shiftnobs, giving extra grip.

how much would a brushed alum knob with the 1-2-3-4-5-R config etched on it be? or the MP3 logo etched?

also, these will be specifically fitted for the MP3 shifter right? being that it is shorter than the P5, and i'm not sure if the threading is the same

well not exactly like that...id like to keep the shaping of the stock shift knob...just brushed alum...and you know..........pls quote price...thanks

Its the same 10mm thread, so there wont be a problem. The shifter thread shaft is the same length, although it is a little shorter than the P5. Conntact me personally at acropolis16@hotmail.com. Thanks

Its the same 10mm thread, so there wont be a problem. The shifter thread shaft is the same length, although it is a little shorter than the P5.

Are you sure it is the same thread? I was interested in an aluminum Voodoo knob but the 10 X 1.25 was way too big for the shaft size on the MP3. These knobs fit many other Proteges and I assumed that the shifter would be the same just a different length.

Let us know prices. If someone can tell me what the diameter and pitch of the shifter on the MP3 is, I can find out How long it would take for Voodoo to make a knob for us. Here is what they look like:

Yes, I just talked to a few machinest and I can put the "H" pattern on the nobs. They can be hydraulically pressed. I will also be able to have them painted whatever color you choose. This will take atleast 2 weeks untill I can get a concept model. Let me know what you think.
