Custom Front Lip... What do you guys think?

wow, i can't believe i hadn't seen this earlier. The design job you're doing is looking FABULOUS!!! I always have problems with funds when i'm trying to get ahold of new parts, but if it comes out looking like i picture it, i'd be scrambling to try and get one of these.

One thing i think might REALLY work nice with this, is to put the stock MSP wind splitter on the bottom edge of this lip.... like this guy did with his DG lip...

there may be more of a height contrast from the middle to the edges with your design though, so it may not work as well. But either way, i'd really be interested in this if it comes out well!!

Yeah I thought about that too... I'll have to wait and see on the prototype.

hey GMalatrasi, i noticed in looking at your sig theres no panel gap on your front fender flare.... is it just the photo, or pshop, or is it not there???

It's there, the light in the photo hid it a lil and then the added blur took out what was remaining.

The machine design lab isn't offered in the spring semester so I dont have access to the lab... But I'll talk to the lab assistant and see if I can steal some lab hours somehow.

Well this wont have any more clearance than the DG lip... I dont think.
It will extend about 2 inches down from the bumper.

Well it's not done, so no pics yet... I just got permission to use the CNC machine, and I talk to the guy incharge of the lab about it... Now as soon as I finish re-writing the code (I lost the old file somehow) for the CNC, we can do the foam prototype model and then make a negative fiber-glass mold so I can make as many as I want.

Yeah same thing for me... and I havent lowered the car yet... speed bumbs and steep inclines will be a challenge.
