This is all I've got. It's dirty and it isn't quite done but I've spend the better part of the last 3 weekends and the last 3 nights working on this.

Hey magnum, Is that a 626 intake manifold? If so what year 626 is it off of? Is that the best year to use for my P5?

Yep, it is. I believe it's off an '02 but it had the VTCS which was also removed. To keeps things simple I'd stick with a '01-'02 626 IM as those are the most similar to our cars. Earlier IMs work but they require some extra effort. The Federal emissions version doesn't have the VTCS but those seem hard to come by.

Ok, thanks. Yah I found one off of a 99' 626 but wasn't sure if it would be the best year to get.

damn thats clean the msp mani is a work of art, nice work mang!
Thanks :D Coming from you it's a real nice compliment! It's still not quite done under there (well, it's nowhere near done really). I still have to install the turbolife FMIC and I want to get rid of all the red vacuum lines (going all black). The whole engine bay will either be glass black or polished aluminum in appearance. Besides, I'm still waiting for Rich's intake manifold which will make everything look 10x nicer. That and a nice wire tuck...

Is that a jet hot coating or a heat repelling film of some sort? Or did you paint it that way? Either way definately pops at you when you look into the engine. Nice idea.

it's been a while since i've done a damn thing to my car. so shortlyish(next couple of nights/weekends/weeks) my buddy and i are gonna start a wire tuck and brake line tuck for the msp..protege..whatever. i'll post pictures and how to sort of as we go.. we'll see.

not sure if im digging the gold or not...

I was not sure either, but it serves dual purposes. After talking with some of the Mazda techs at LRP about this gold heat resistant film that they put on parts in the Speedsource RX-8 engine bay, I decided to use the exact same material and cover similar areas. The PCM and fuse box covers, along with the AC line, which due to the extreme heat of the rotary becomes quite hot and thus reduces the temp of the AC air.

Of course I also did it for the extra "bling" factor".
