no kidding, it looks like it's been sitting in some clean room in a wearhouse @ area-51 waiting to be discovered >_>

not current, but here's my first turbo install pic:

and find a way to brace the turbo so the mani isnt taking the brunt of the weight. u can do it with heim joints and rods. not too hard.

you guys are so helpful!! new gasket on order....fly cut? can you explain? ya, i think i should brace the turbo too....this guy i know who has several turbo'd cars, thinks some of the problem is the wastegate tube going into the downpipe (added back pressure?), he says cut it off and weld the down pipe closed??

Fly cut is machining the surface so that the surface is flat . I am not sure of the process . As for bracing the turbo by all means , there should be some bolt holes in the block to allow you to attach and bracket to and then to the turbo . I cant see why the wastegate tubes needs to be changed or removed ,if anything the spent gasses from the turbo would help the wastegate gasses move along

alot of times the wg tube will crack cause its under pressure (weight) (where the tube from the mani connects to the gate) thats prolly why he wants u to remove it. if u brace the mani/turbo, you shouldsnt have as much of a problem but it still exists when u have rigid tubing used as joints

updated engine mods...before and after

thanks Alejo!

looks like someone needs a valve cover. Wow with no heat shield over your turbo doesn't your hood paint bubble?? or do you have heat shield on the underside of the hood?

valve cover, wire tuck, remove OR relocate the power steering and heat shield for the turbo and you will be on your way...

*not current*
