Note to mods, I'm not selling ANYTHING....yet. I'm polling the forum on their wants and desires, and the prices they'd be willing to pay for potential services of a prospective fabricator. I'm not business owner, I'm not a dealer, not a seller, I'm not marketing anything...I'm gauging a marketplace to possibly offer future services, should there be an interest. Should I want to advertise products or services I will go through the proper channels to gain the authorization to do so
I have a mig and tig welding machines, and I'm a awesome designer, ok engineer, and decent fabricator. Thinking of delving into the auto customs, like intakes, headers, hard pipes, etc. I'm thinking of a one man, one off operation. No employees, and work with folks to create truly custom pieces at a that a tuning shop couldn't compete with because of my intensely lower overhead. Would anybody be interested? I know if I wanted to market any products or services here I'd need to be an authorized dealer with the site, but what are the requests of the automotive community. Price wise, product need/demand, etc.
One of those, I have a job, but would like to contribute part time to development of automotive systems via fabrication. I just have no clue what people are looking for. I've done my research, and I'm not looking to compete against full tuning shops. I'm more interested in personal one on one, client to fabricator, one off production.
So...begin debate.
