Can you give some driving impressions? Was it a noticeable difference?

they're decent for the price I guess. I'd like to go with a solid motor mount in the future but I don't think anyone makes that yet..

I know there are a lot of vibrations with a solid MM but you feel more connected to the car

With the Inserts you already get a solid feel with the car, plus it really puts the torque down on the wheels. There is NO other word to say but WOW, and only 35 bucks!!

If you go with a solid mount I hope you have balls of steel cuz you'll feel every vib, twitch and itch your motor puts out...good luck with that.

big diff. i drove the GTI, WRX and mazda. i was a little turned off by the mazda on starts, but the inserts really take care of this and i would think mazda should have taken care of this during production.

having driven inserts, TRZ and now my AWR race mount I can say that this car needs this mod big time! I understand why they didnt come stock this way though, the vibes can be loud and irritating to some! the inserts are ok but where out over time. The TRZ and AWR Race mount are very similar in every aspect. I like the AWR becuase it actually looks stock. You do need shifter bushings though to top it off and if you can swing it the TWM Short Shifter... Really connects the car and makes it that much better to drive.

With the inserts, is the vibration at idle noticeable? Does it induce more rattles?

there should be no vibes with this insert, even at idle, only slightly with the ac on, and thats after 500 miles or so, these things wear in and you can't tell they are even there after that. They ad a huge difference to this car. it's ridiculous that these things did not come with the car when it was from the factory. It is well worth the difference you feel, reduction if not total elimination of wheelhop, and smothness of shifting, it's all good :)

Thanks for the info. Is the cheapest from PG for $40 shipped? Their Web site shows the blue, but do you get the black version?

There were some vibrations at idle, but they are not that noticable, and after a couple of months I dont even notice anymore. Rattles were not an issue. The vibration is pretty mild. I didnt have a chance to use it with the a/c since it was Oct when I put them in, so I cant say one way or the other. I have been very happy with the inserts, and would give them a thumbs up.

You'll have to order it direct from Corksport, or you can do what I did and just get the blue version then color them black and your good to go. Worked for me and it's got 5k on them now and still black, no blue showing at all.
