Crusie control wont work in 4th or 6th gear?

Any idea what would cause this my cruise wont work in 4th or 6th gear... Anybody else have had this problem

CC is not connected to the shifter in any way. if it works in 3rd n 5th it should work in 4th n 6th.....

correct, cc works with vac pressure

Well it does not work in 4th or 6th... Those two gears it wont work at all..

Im at a loss as to what it could be
