I bought a 3 suction cup camera mount from www.chasecam.com and it's awesome.

This is professional grade hardware supposed to support 65lbs and my camera is but an ounce, so I'm not to worried, I have tethers for it as well just in case.

I'll do better ones in the future, I was testing it out here, enjoy!

edit: BTW if someone can tell be the best audio compression I should use for Premiere Pro it would be greatly appreciated. The file above is 30mb using Divx video codec and a random microsoft audio compression.

Cool vid...make sure to get some footage on some better roads! Are you able to mount it inside the car, like right behind the windshield?

Nice vid nice looking town and is taht a not cats CEL cause if it is theres a cheap way to fix and btw thank you for using a good song instead of that techno dance crap everyone seems to be using

Yeah I can pretty much mount it anywhere I have another video inside the car.

Man, you need a vid of the sea-to-sky hwy.... just flying through the corners at night would look sweet ass with that thing...

Bring it to our next meet too!

Damn you schooled that G35 near the begining!

Whoa! and a WRX!

How much did that cost? I'll buy one and post some vids...

sweet vid... you should get some more vid shots ... like your wheels, the ground, etc.... and make a compilation video!

Oh, and it's about time someone puts a non-bad song in a car video.

Sounds like it's only in the first part. However the camera mic should not be used if the camera is mounted on the outside of the car....

I'd be better to run an external mic to the engine bay to hear the engine, intake, BOV, turbo, whatever else may be there.

I use to be pretty heavy into shooting car videos like this (cameras mounted like that and inside), but quite the tragedy happened during a shoot and I haven't touched the stuff since. Be careful people.

Nice purchase... I need to get my own eventually. The mounting of a DV camera w/ suction cups still makes me nervous though. :)

It's all safe I think with the teathers.

I plan on doing more with it in the future when I go back to the racetrack.

Maybe I'll do sea to sky later this month or something.

Foam is a great idea, I'll try that thanks.

Wow, that was so exciting...almost as exciting as driving to work every morning...LOL j/k. That was nice....post more (with ZZ Top of course)

Pics of the mounting kit and model! Plus pics of the camera mounted on your car! And..what HPfreak said...wire up a mic to the exhaust or bov or both. That would sound pretty sick. I really liked the first part of the video..where the exhaust note reverbs throughout the parkade and the music is playing in a softer tone in the background.
