crazy motor swaps

I noticed a drop in oil pressure on my car and that started scaring me. I'm going to replace the oil pump, water pump, oil pan gasket and all other necessary gaskets and fluids. Car still feels good but I want more out of my 1.6L. Suspension wise I'm set it's the engine that needs about 100hp more. Hehehe.

After checking out a JDM website I would like to see someone drop in a turbo rotary. The price for these motors is killer.

On youtube there are a few RWD Rotary P5's, they are strictly drag though... :( I would love to see a street legal one

The sr20det swap first they have similar tranny problems the cases can not hold more than 300 hp they crack i did the swap in my old nissan 200sx fwd. by parking my two car next to eachother they look like a close fit. It may be able to be done. i would love to see it

lol why is everyone so set on doing a rotary swap, rotaries are even more un reliable then the FS,
would be fun for bout 30K miles and then time to rebuild
i want to see someone make a protege awd or rwd, that would be awesome, a 4g63 engine and drivetrain swap would be insane

lol yea...i wouldnt do all that work and then leave the internals stock
evo's make insane power, i was looking at the built short blocks by ams, and holy hell...******* expensive

but im sure it would hold upwards of 800whp easy, havent seen to many sr20's up there

my dream.... sr20vet awd swapped P5.....

The 2.0 L (1998 cc) SR20VET was the first turbocharged engine from Nissan with variable timing and lift control. It produces 280 PS (206 kW) @ 6400 rpm and 309 nm @ 3200 rpm. It is used in the following vehicles:
2002-2007 Nissan X-Trail GT

probably cost as much as an sti to build though... :(

Good thing orlando is filled with rotary fanatics because me and my buddy juan are planning on doing a 13B in a P5 I found here. I plan on buying the shell for cold g. He is a rotary freak and has a built a ton of them so reliability should be good, its the fabrication thats going to be real tricky but its all about having fun right. So far, plans are to bridgeport the motor....bra bra brap brap brah and perhaps boost it if the budget permits it.
Hopefully everything works out because I would love to one day drive a rwd p5 with mazda power. I would swap out the E6X into the rotaryP5 and upgrade the msp with haltechs 1000 ;).

Sidenote, I believe the SR20 is definetly a great swap idea. We already know its a solid motor with a ton of potential. Also, KL's are pretty much everywhere you look plus parts are chizzep.

i know u guys wanted to see this. Here, SR20's are cheap and we call them parlour engines because of how common they are, they do have plenty potential though. we get plenty of japanese engines here for fairly decent prices, the most common of which is the SR20det.oh, this is not my car...this just went up for sale here, some guy built it.

I know that this had to have been done before, even when I brought it up earlier...............it just seemed to make sense. I wish he had more detail on how the motor swap went. I am extremely interested in it

damn, we gotta find a build thread for it.

dig the (apparently) custom bumper (molded canards) and custom hood.

u guys can register and hit hm a pm on the forum, he'll be glad for the international attention, the local mazda community here tends to shun non mazda motors, lol, lotsa guys here running BPT's and FS-ZE's and ZL-VE's
