whats up guys.

well i was looking the cpe tbe and it sound so sweet. so i went to their website and i could only see the downpipe and the cbe.. thats the tbe?.. sorry for the stupid question but im not into putting mods into the car.and dont know that much in the other hand i like the turboxs tbe but i have heard that this setup has a lot of problems with the fitment and all. but the turboxs has the rp. and the cpe tbe doesnt.. and the turboxs tbe gains 50 torque and 40 to the wheels. and the cpe goes 30 to the wheels and 40 of torque. .the turboxs rp and dp .. have the best gains of all i think.. but im looking a ggod setup with a lot of gains hp and tq. and a loud setup..

so can i go with this setup..

cpe dp.turboxs rp.cpe cbe?

sorry for all the stupid questions but im not to much into this.

thank you... and if you could answer all my question. i will aprecciate it ..

cpe is a full downpipe. So yes cpe downpipe + cpe cbe is their tbe system. No need for separate race pipe. When it comes to hp gains it just numbers. When it comes to performance the turboxs has advantage bc doesnt have catalytic converters which eliminate restrictions. Also it gets very loud unlike Cpe. Cpe tbe has high flow cats which may have very little restricions if any at all but it doesnt get obnoxiously loud. Personally, it was the reason i didnt go catless. I have Cpe downpipe and HKS cbe and i love the way it sounds. Its not too loud but once you step on it you can deffinitely hear it. If you go with the same setup I promise you wont be dissapointed :)

The CPE downpipe can come catless. It's an added option to get the high-flow cat put in. So in regards to whether you go turboxs or cpe, really a matter of what you want. 2 peice or 1 peice? 2 peice gives you the option of putting your stock test-pipe back in if needed. I believe the turboxs set up is also cheaper overall, if thats something important to you.

Don't know where or when OP heard of any fitment issues with the TurboXS downpipe and racepipe. That is what I am running. I found the fitment and construction to be absolutely first class in every respect. Mine went on about 25,000 miles ago.

The issue for doing the dp/rp upgrade is not fitment on either the CPE or the TurboXS -- it's that it is a b**** to get the stock downpipe off of the car. There are how-to's here and elsewhere.

Of course, it is catless. If you need to pass sniffer test you can have a high flow cat welded in.

I'm running mine into the stock CBE, because the restrictions are all upstream of the CBE anyway. Spending money on an expensive CBE will not produce more power on the stock turbo, because the CBE flows better than the maximum turbo output on the exhaust side.

As to the sound, yes, a catless dp/rp is going to be considerably louder than the stock exhaust as those two cats do have an effect on reducing sound. I found that loud drone at 2500 rpm was giving me a headache, so I actually added another straight through high flow 3 inch reso (the stock exhaust has two resos) in the middle of the rp section. This tamed the drone. The exhaust is still noticably louder and throatier than stock, if that is what OP is looking for.

Performance wise it is a no-brainer. Combined with any good aftermarket intake, a 3 inch dp/rp into the stock exhaust will net about a 40-45 whp gain over stock. The gain is very fat and broad, especially in midrange (under the curve).

My car now runs 13.4 second quarters at 106-107 mph range on stock tires and good track conditions. More importantly, I have a documented 40-120 mph in 12.5 seconds. Once you hook up and get some traction, this combo just comes alive. 60-100 mph (easily replicated with a simple cheap stopwatch) comes up in the 6.1-6.5 second range. All these times are dependent on track/ambient temperature conditions, of course. But expect to be substantially quicker. This is with the stock BPV, which I highly recommend you keep, and on the stock ECU tune.

If OP goes this route, I do recommend that he get either a Dash Hawk or other real time and data logging device to measure engine operation, or at a bare minimum, a boost gauge, preferably a mechanical one.

This exhaust mod will raise boost by about 2 psi. Some users are reporting boost creep (search and read separate threads on that issue), although I have not experienced it.

What is likely is that there will be quick, transient boost spikes in the 20-21 psi range quickly settling back to 17-18 psi and holding to about 5,500 rpm before fading. With those spikes and in cold weather this can cause load cut in which the ECU jumps in and slams the throttle plate shut and/or cuts the fuel supply. There are some work-arounds for that, but they are not simple and do not always work.

All-in-all, this is a very worthwhile performance mod. Hugely so for the dollar spent. You do need to monitor boost. Highly recommended. I've not heard anything bad about the CPE product. I just wanted to say that the TurboXS combo is a terrific value, has great fit and finish, very high quality in both design and materials, and it produces substantial power gains.

In my opinion, if you are going to go catless, don't go with the CP-e DP. Either get the turboxs or, my personal favorite, the Corksport DP/TP combo. Those are both two piece and cheaper than the CP-e. Both should bolt up fine to your stock exhaust or most aftermarket CBEs. I've heard that the TurboXS has a hard time bolting up to any CBE but the TurboXS. Just for reference, the TurboXS TBE is ******* LOUD. Probably the loudest set up for the car. It is completely catless and has only two very very thin/small resonators in the cat back. You also hear the turbo spool and it cracks and backfires a lot. If you're into that, go for it. But I warn you, it is really loud. The CP-e TBE is pretty subdued in comparison. It has a nicer, more resonated, deep tone. But any exhaust that is catless and doesn't have multiple, or a bit chambered muffler is going to be pretty loud. The CP-e TBE can be had with or without a cat and with the option of a muffler, resonator both or none. I'll probably get a CP-e CBE with just the muffler when the time is right... mainly because I already have a resonated TP, and it's a HUGE resonator.

The TurboXS does bolt up to the stock CBE easily. Fits like a glove, even has the proper adapters to bring it down from 3 inch to 2.5 inch. The RP has a flex joint in it that really makes positioning it easy. Can't say anything about how it connects to other CBE's though.

I will repeat, (sorry), aftermarket CBE's on the stock K04 turbo are NOT power builders. They only change there will be sound. You can do that way cheaper with reso deletes or changes, etc. The power gains are by replacing the highly restrictive stock dp/rp and cats with a well designed big (3 inch) bell-mouthed DP/RP combo and not worry about the CBE part.

Because of the increased lound level and change in tone, I would recommend that anyone wanting to take this step do the dp/rp first, connecting them to the stock CBE. Then only later go with the aftermarket CBE if you must, absolutely must change the sound. Just one opinion, of course. It's your money.

Yes. Do note that changing the stock CBE to an aftermarket 3 inch variant will do very little to your horsepower numbers unless you are running a larger turbo.
