Install was easy....car pulls good. I found one thing funny though. These so called maps that it comes with do nothing but raise boost from a 15 primary to a 17 secondary map. Fuel and timing are untouched and every value is zero!

Does anybody have any maps for a i/tbe ms3? Are you guys taking fuel away or adding it? Timing? Help lol

You think it would come with a custom map for your car or atleast set up the fuel and timing if its going to change the boost. So right now its just like having your mbc back on but it costs 4 times as much.I think I would just spend the money and go have it tuned.

it pulls exactly the same. I just confirmed my theory that these base maps do NOTHING but raise boost. Pretty much confirms that raising boost to 17-18psi is 100% safe with a mbc.

yea but now u have the ability to tune it, at 17 psi im experiencing a fuel cut from what i can gather, so it does need to be tuned but it could also be from the temp here, it roughly 3-4 degrees Celcius

or i can just tune it, and it wont have fuel cut, when i tuned my supercharged s-10 i picked up over 35hp 60tq to the wheels.
Also allows you to do data logging, and a bunch of other goodies, im very impresed with the real time graphs

thats wonderful, im just saying there are other ways of doing it and that 17-18psi as ive said for the past 3 months is 100% safe.

lol yea and every1 has been nagging on you too for doing it(gtfo)

of course an EMS is better but for some1 looking for an inexpensive way to make power you cant go wrong....and now you proved it.
(yes)

Hey jordan had told me that the standback does lean the car out a pinch. I don't know if you have a wideband setup to verify what he says. Your in Newark right? Have you heard of IMP in Clifton. Maybe we can get a deal tuning 2 identical cars and computers there???

no im from north jersey. About 10 min north of wayne. My standback came with nothing, all the values were zeroed out, meaning its running stock fuel/timing. Im down for imp if you are. Im sure we can do this ourselves. Its just a/f and timing...not hard, i just dont have a wideband on me. I used my buddies before but hes in iraq now. Is there anyway to tap into the stock wideband? That would make tuning alot easier/cheaper

I work in Oakland. I have a wide band that isn't in yet. My maps are all 0's also but that's what he said. Are you having any screwy issues with check engine lights. Are your venting to atom? Once I get my check engine light to stay off I'll tune the car.

i could throw a rock and hit oakland lol. I am not vta, i have no cels, no issues other than the stutter when i put the forge valve on. IM sure i can tune it out if i could just see whats causing it.

laloosh.... you know you are my bud, but..... until you get that bad boy tuned...... you got a $600 boost controller !! i agree with you 100% about the MBC issue. i have decided against the standback. i will see what cobb comes up with. if i'm not happy with that i will take the MBC route.

What's IMP in clifton? a tune shop? dyno shop? I'm looking for a dyno shop, help anyone please. I'm in belleville, bordering newark and clifton.
