could i overboost with my mods????

well i have a full tbe from cp-e catted, the pg manifold, cp-e fmic, and full intake and hks bov. recently i had my motor blew on me and i got a new engine. just wondering if any of these mods can cause me to over boost also what would make me over boost if i have not touched the factory controller. i was getting over 20 psi when my motor blew on me.

You can overboost on a stock car with just a downpipe. Opening up the exhaust is going to make the car more prone to see boost spikes. You were running the stock tune on this set up??

Didnt you answer your own question in your post, My motor blew and I was seeing over 20 PSI???? I see a 19-20 PSI spike but but for only a split second with my mods..

it blew cuz if my greddy i had on there. i am running the stock tune but mazda said i had a bad exhaust leak. could that have done damage to the wastegate??? im thinking the turbo is damaged and im overboosting

Ummm read what you wrote in your first post, spiking over 20psi on the stock tune = over boosting. In other words, you're overboosting.........
