corksport exhaust problem

Anyone have this problem...i have the corksport power series exhaust and it split at the back of the resonator. The guy at cork said that they polish the welds to thin at the back of the resonator. So anyway it cracked and started leaking, and corksport sent me a new pipe with the resonator. Just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem.

yes, one other guy had that exact same problem, glad to hear they replaced it for you, does the new pipe look any stronger, or about the same?

yup mine split too, the replacement showed up yesterday but I don't really want to put it on because I don't want to deal with it anymore

I was really pushing for a full or partial refund, or even site credit, but they wouldn't hear of it

btw this was after about 3 weeks of driving (and I don't even drive every day)

and it had been leaking for about 2 of those 3 weeks but I couldn't find the crack

yes, that's the exact sound...

you have the crack and one day soon it will get VERY loud and you will jack your car up to find what you see in my pics above

no, that's the flipping annoying thing

I went back and forth with Travis for probably an hour total, several different phone calls

he couldn't tell me that the new one would be any different

he actually told me my best bet would be to sell wait for the replacement and sell the thing on eBay (pissed)

it sounds like he's saying that the welds are polished to much so if you take it & have the to ends welded back together, wouldnt that work?

CS doesn't even make the exhausts, I asked travis and he said they have some shop make them

I'm not even sold on the "too polished" excuse - I think it's some line of bull they came up with... as if that makes it any better that I have to keep another exhaust on hand for every time this one breaks :bs:

they make you send back the broken one so you should probably wait until it completely cracks (boom05)
