I just got 4 of these on my Speed 6. I was looking for an all season tire because i live in NY and the Bridgestones werent gonna make it thru another winter. Those tires were just about bald after 25k miles.

Tires seem fairly quiet, dry traction seems ok. They were 130 a piece installed at Mavis. For a fairly cheap all season tire for the stock wheels, I am happy with them, just thought i would share.
 
yah! bought it used. only had 27k on it though. prolly new tires after it was traded.

Yes. On the stock wheels. I made a mistake though, it was a little more than 130 actually. It was more like $145 with balance.

I see a pattern here! My advice for those who like to actually get their money's worth out of their tires is to rotate them frequently! Especially with fast-wearing tires like the stock Potenzas. I made the mistake of failing to rotate my stockers and I couldn't do anything with them the 2nd spring that I owned the car. The fronts weren't too bad, but the rears were junk due to the OEM-spec off-camber. The outside tread depth was at 3/32nds, but the inside was 1/32nd.

Remember, even on other tires, KEEP THEM ROTATING! I did mine today while at the same time washing my wheels inside and out with only a single jack placed under the jack point under the back half of either front door. (I'm without jackstands at the moment; I live dangerously sometimes!) Took a half hour total including the scrub-a-dubbing and visual brake pad checks. Go, directional tires! :D

Edit: Oh, and yeah, regarding coopers, I got a closeout deal on some discontinued Coopers, as well. Zeon Sport A/S was by far the best deal I was finding at the time for 225/45-18. I was looking at sticky summer tires even though I was selling my snows and moving to AZ, but these are still W-rated, have a 400 treadwear rating, are still fairly grippy, and northern AZ still gets snow from time to time. Hell with having 2 sets of seasonal rims/tires out here, IMO! :p

i just got my speed6 yesterday -- & it came w/ new ZPT's on it...

but im going to try & pick up s0me snow tires... kuz the tread looks crappy -- no center groove to prevent hydro-planing

I don't know if they're the same model as mine; mine were an outgoing pattern. But I made it cross country thru about 3 or 4 rainstorms and the car never shook or lost its footing even at 70-75 mph.

Not the same as mine. Much more aggressive-looking pattern than what i have, but I don't think the lack of a center groove would hurt your rain traction, when there are a pair of grooves on either side. I'd give them a shot...
 
Cooper "Zeon Sport A/S"

Not the most aggressive pattern, but they are still sticky, are M+S rated for cold weather, and have a 400 wear rating.

All season tires

This will be my 2nd winter with my Speed6 on it's stock Bridgestones. I only have 7800 miles, but with all the snow we are getting in Chicago I need to replace these tires. I just want to know what you guys would recommend as a good set of all season tires? I really do not want to mess with another set of rims in order to use snow tires, and I definitely do not want to trade it in for an SUV.
