Coolant light

Even if the coolant resevior isn't low doesn't mean the coolant in the engine isn't low. I know on the rx7 the coolant sensor is on top of the radiator so even if the coolant drops out of the top of the radiator it sets the light.

air pocket in the cooling system
low coolant level in engine and/or overflow
bad sensor (highly unlikely)

thats about it..

on the RX7 the sensor is in the top of the radiator (as mentioned above) and when u get an air pocket (since air goes to the top of the cooling system it will make the buzzer go off.

Theres actually a problem in the coolant catch tank with the level sensor failing or the float sticking... theres quite an extensive thread on it on another forum. People have had luck with taking the tank off and cleaning out the gunk, others have had to replace the tank.... which is expensive....

another option some people have done since the tank isnt cheap... is unplug the sensor to turn the light off and just keep an eye on the level and temp..
