Convert my car into stick?

see your thinking all wrong. buy a used car, same year annd all that but mtx then have two cars for a bit swap everything that youve customized into the mtx and take the stock stuff and put it in the w/ the atx and youll about breakif not do better. but youd have to buy from a private owner no dealership. youd break even if not make money opn the mtx.

Cept that 03 Mazda6 MTX's are rare. =/ Mazda made an initial mistake for the 6s MTX's in 03, producing far too few. The 04's by comparison have way too many, and some 04 6s MTX's have been sitting on lots since LAST YEAR, waiting for someone to purchase one.

You can check the build date of the vehicle by checking the panel on the inside panel (drivers side door, car), to see how long its been sitting unsold at the dealer. If its something like 9/03...your in quite a position to bargin. You could also investigate S-plan (which is what I did) to get about 400 below invoice on a new 6s MTX. (No haggling)

My best friend learned from the salesman as he was taking his test drive.

I learned on a utility golf cart at a summer job! Only three gears though, kinda like a miniature dump truck.

MAzda,

Someone is having twin-turbo's put in the 6s. There is always room, its just a factor of cost, warranty, and traction.

Once you get into the 220 WHP range in the 6, the lack of LSD and FWD really hampers any power buildups. Your just spining tires, unless you go with R-compounds.

Set the michelins on fire! (burnout) If I can loose the inside wheel on a turn in a ATX 2.3, I could only imagine what a V6 MTX would do (headshake

oh man you should see my car slide around turns lol

lol your gear drops your rear like my eibachs lol no I can get mine to oversteer with no problem its great lol

the 1st time was noticable cause I was kinda still giving it gas...but 2nd time was a down hill severe right with no braking involved (No ABS). windows were down and the tires were technically singing and not screaming (lol2) I never broke the rear loose even when doing a 60 to 0 lock up(again no ABS) I slid foreward with wheel turned extreme right

Da 6,
The mich's are so horribly bad with the 6s MTX...you just can't use the throttle period. Its much nicer with the toyo's...but honestly you still need more grip...damn FWD sucks.

MR LUV from 6tech has 18's and toyos and he didn't loose the inside tire..but I beleve the tires weight and diamiter had some play in it as well...

thanx..So from what i hea i should get the 6i mtx considerin that the v6 doesnt have enought room for turbo correct?
a 4 cylinder is going to make a more reliable power and hi boost already has a kit fo it.

how is the 4cyl going to make more reliable power?

reliability isn't an issue...traction is....take the srt-4 as an example for fwd turbo 4. It has real soft tires and still looses traction till 3rd gear with Qualife lsd(notcool) the lsd does help with the loosing inside tire issue(which I suffer the most at).

crossbow I was refering lapis blue atx 4cyl to lapis blue atx 4cyl....when mentoning tommy (yes) the Toyos and the weight(and slight gearing change) of the 18's got rid of the loosing inside tire.

Also I watched the car and driver video of the yellow 6s sport and they made it look and sound like the mich's were R compound gooey tar embedded tires...(jerkit)

think about all the fastest turbod cars... they are 4 bangers for the most part. easiest way to put it.

And traction is a drivers skill for the most part, whoever driving that srt4 is an idiot who thinks its cool! wowey!

um thats just because those are like th eonly turbo production cars really but whats the names of that one car using the twin turbo duratec V6 makin insan power. or wait what about a SKYLINE. the only reasons there are so many 4banger turbos is because WRC and thats what they used in the smaller n/a version of these cars. you take your turbo 4 and ill take my skyline with a straight 6 ok lol. I just dont see how you say a turbo 4 makes more reliable power I need a better explantion

The srt-4 is one of those vehicles peole wreck all the time cause they forget it's a neon and try pulling 120mile turns on the twisties......IN THE SNOW!!!! If they didn't want $28 before intrest for it I would have had it instead of the 6...long story short I drove a friend to mazda dealership to test drive the RX-8 and I saw the 3 and 6...drove both and since the 6 was an 03 in 2004 I came out cheaper...with a few ptions I wish I had...like in dash cd changer oem wing and Manual Trans aXle...after finding the sport manual transaxle fun and faster than what I was already driving i settled and I don't really kick myself for the tranny too much cause traffic is just a nightmare unless it's 3 am on sunday (blah) and as for 4 bangers...they are way more efficent than a V8...but insurance is more when that question of turbo/sc comes up with insurance. I tried just giving the vin and calling it a neon....5 mins later I got a call back from agent "Whoa what kind of neon is this? gonna cost you 5Xs what you already pay for your regular neon! You didn't get it yet did you?" Maybe later down the road (In Age) I'll grab one or an evo to play with...
