Considering getting a 3 should I wait for mazdaspeed version?

I've been reading the posts on here for a couple days now and you all seem pretty happy with your cars. I can't wait to get a 3 for myself just as soon as I get the money all saved up, but I know they're coming out with a mazdaspeed version. Anybody have any ideas when that's gonna happen and what would be the changes to it from the current 3? Also price range? Should I even wait for it or just go for the 3 that's out there now?

not shure on the arrival date on the speed 3 but I can say insurance will be "Up there" most likely.

agree

I agree with Da 6. The Speed 3 will most likely cost >25k as well, so start saving now.

Just another question for all you owners out there. Did you all have to pay the $520 destination charge or whatever it is Mazda charges you or did you just pay a bit over the invoice? With all the options I'm looking at, ABS package, sport package, and moonroof, it's gonna be $18,695 not including the $520. Do you guys think I could get them to go down to $18,000 for everything without looking too much like an ass? Thanks for answering my questions, I can't wait to get a 3 for myself.

If its a manual tranny with the S engine, chances are they wont move on the price. There not as abundant as the S engine in automatic. Autos they will move on because they have more. After the S engines with manuals are sold out, it takes dealers 3-4 months to get new ones. If your getting a manual just pay the money. Its not alot more and its worth it. If your getting an Auto, try to move down a little.

or, check the build date. if you can find one with an older build date, they will prolly be more then happy to drop the price.

i got mine in april, and the build date was in december and i only paied 300$ above the INVOICE. sweet. i had to have the nav!

I've never got away with not paying the destination charge. I paid 3% over invoice.
only way you could get rid of it was literally drive from the factory with it...

Well look at it this way. You just paid close to 20,000 dollars for a new automobile. Thats alot of money. Is 500 or so, really that much more? Just pay it. The car is totally worth it. Consider the 500 as your payment for an ear to ear smile everytime you take the car out. (drinks)

i disagree with most, haggle your ass off man. who cares if the salesman thinks your an ass, its your money try to keep as much of it as you can whats another 500$ well its another 5 $ a month for 6 years what i do is look up all the dealers in a 100 mile radius who have the car i want, you can generally find 4 or 5 cars. then just go from dealer to dealer and haggle. allot of the better dealers will match or beat a competitors deal to get your business wether the car is in huge supply or not. by doing this on my last car purchase i got the end price lowered by over 3000$ on a 15000$ car.

But if hes getting a manual chances are they wont move, because those are harder to get with the S engine.
