Connector Housings and Terminals 2013 CX-5 Steering Wheel Controls

I got a PAC SWI-CP2 Universal Steering Wheel control so I can retain the steering wheel controls. I did check it is supposed to be compatible with my CX-5 and other systems. You have to do a setup, via and app or DIP switches, but it looks like it has to be the DIP switches at the moment. I can work with analog switches, CAN bus and other types of controls. I don't know what I have.

I think the unit has more wires than may be needed for every application and also the wires that connect to the steering wheel controls and the radio are just bare wires you need to use crimp connectors, etc.

I haven't looked for the wires from the steering wheel controls yet. I assume they have one or more multi-conductor connector housing. I'd like to know what brand and style housing, etc and the terminals it uses. If I can get this it would be just as easy or easier to just make up a connector for the wires from the adapter and plug it in as a bunch of line crimps.

I also see that the unit I have has an RCA plug that plugs into where the microphone plugs into the head unit.

I had read that you couldn't use the existing microphone with an aftermarket HU, but that you could use the original wiring but disconnecting the stock one and then hooking up the one that comes with the HU and just use two of the wires and the same two on the other end.

The steering wheel controls include a couple switches for the phone, so I'm thinking maybe those extra wires by the stock mike may be for things other than the mike.

Anyone have any experience with this adapter and attaching it, etc? I've installed radios and HUs before but steering wheel controls, etc are new to me. Just trying to get a feel for what all is involved.
