hey all!
what im wonderding is, does the Mp3 and the p5 have the same 2.0 liter motor?
are there any differences in the motors or the front ends (structure wise)

the motors are the same....the CPU's which control them are not....which is why you are supposed to run HI OCTANE gas in the MP3, and why its advertised as having 10 more Horse Power..

the front suspensions are different ONLY in the respect that the MP3 has a different strut and springs which are a tad stiffer...and lower the car about 3/4 of an inch.....but the parts are interchangable...as in you can put the MP3 parts in the P-5

reason im asking is this TEIN suspension kit that is coming out for the P5 im wondering if it will fit the mp3.
and the reason i was asking about the motor is i called and talked to GReddy and they are cooking up a turbo kit for the protege as well as a Evo Cat-Back exhaust system (it was confirmed that i would only fit p5's..... you bastards hehehe)

Oh yeah Everyone that is reading this, i found the B&M short shifter for the mp3 and p5 for $135.00 from optauto

becuase of the diffrent anti-sway bars in the mp3 the tokico struts have a diffrent kind of mounting bracket for them, that may or may not present a problem but you can never be too careful

save yourself 10 bucks and you can use the money to buy something else
