got pulled over (and issued a citation) tonight. heading south on veteran's parkway just before mellow mushroom. the cop comes flying around the integra behind me and pulls me over, tickets me for 66 in a 45, and ruins my night. i suppose i can't piss and moan too much, i was, after all, breaking the law. oh well.

well...i take that back....was pulled over by and un-marked car. hahahaha. that was funny. he was so pissed when he walked to the car. he was like, do you know that i could write you a ticket for about 5 traffic violations young miss. accelerating too fast from a red light, changing lanes without signaling, speeding, endangerment of other drivers or some crap like that...blah blah blah blah. i had everything under control. anyways. he told me to "slow your little ass down". then he got in his car and drove off.

that was great. hahahahaha.

yeah, the ticket says that he clocked me traveling the opposite direction north of whitelsy, so he had to have turned around and hauled ass to catch me where he did. it is the beginning of the month, and quotas have to be met.

thats sucks man. i usually fly down verterans at night. no radar or anything. i have never really seen any cops checking speeds anywhere on veterans.

tell me about it...i've been hauling ass down veterans for close to 7 years now, and i finally get my first speeding ticket. damn all of the new crap being built on the north side of town! it used to be out in the woods (with no cops).

as an experienced member of this forum when it comes to anything involving moving violations ill say this...... SLOW THE **** DOWN!!! its not worth it, and it only took me 11 tickets, and almost loosing my license many times to figure this one out.

Mmmm Columbus Ga. VD Drive. Err Victory Drive. (Can you tell I was at Ft Benning?) Anyways, these guys are right, if you dont do at least 10 MPH over the limit your gonna get an 18 wheeler up your arse.

(lol) No I spent most of my time at Panama City beach, or Siler city. VD drive is jus a widely known name for that road.

well then just expect to keep getting pulled over. using traffic as a reason to speed still doesnt make it legal. im not trying to be a speed nazi here but it will really save you from alotta greef in the long run. im paying huge insurance premiums, paid over $5000 in court costs and lawyer fees, and the habit of being an unsafe driver (which is what you are when your speeding) led to an accident which ended up totalling my car. it not worth it and i know i would be alot better off if i would have just followed the rules. just try and slow down, it makes it safer for you and everyone around you.

well, in all honesty...i'm not known as one who speeds...but it's hard to go under 80 on jr allen or under 60 on veterans...you really will get someone up your ass...and since columbus is on the ga/al border...it only makes things more difficult...alabama people can't drive...it's horrible...mix that in with the dumbass columbus people who think they're race car drivers and then add the suv soccer moms that have the attitude of "i'm bigger than them, they'll move out of my way"...it becomes hell...and that is what driving in columbus is like...hell. if you don't get the hell out of the way, you will be run over...it's worse than macon. i hate columbus.

I've only driven there a couple times, so I dunno...but macon's pretty freakin aweful. It makes me enjoy driving through atlanta...so if Columbus is worse...*shudders*
