cold weather and a strange noise.

Hi all. It's definitely winter in Minnesota right now with minus 30 windchills. When its this cold I have a clunking noise in the what sounds like the right front suspension when I go over bumbs. Anybody else have this happen or is this normal since it's so cold out?

I know there is a TSB for squeaky rear suspension in cold weather climates, which gets fixed with lube. I'm not sure if the front had any TSB, but in -30 weather results may vary that's pretty damn cold.

My 2013 has the same sound, but it comes from both front shocks. Both rear shocks squeak when cold too, which I figure Mazda would have fixed by the 2013 model year, but apparently not, so I'll be making a dealer appointment soon.

Our 2011 also has the same sound from the fronts, but since the dealer replaced both rear shocks last year the back end is quiet now.

I'm just going to chalk the front end noise up to it being ridiculously cold out. The 2013 stays in the (relatively) warm garage all night and it's quiet when I first start driving it in the morning.

Did anyone try some Shin-Etsu grease? It is sold by Rosenthal Mazda and it fixed some stuff on my Miata like windows, header seal and sunroof seals on my DGF's 89 Civic Si.

I'd be happy to try it, but I have no idea what suspension components are the ones actually making the noises.
