People that have installed a CAI in their 3s.
how may of you have AEM, INJEN, K&M, or others (although i dont know of others).
Please tell me how pleased you are and what kind of gains did you get (without other performance mods cause i imagine that doing a catback or exhaust system probably ads another 5-7 hp).

Also for the experts, which company has a better track record, quality, service and warranty wise? which would you recommend? why?
thanks a lot guys, i just cant wait to get a CAI but im unsure on which kind.

I haven't had any issues with the AEM. Installation was a breeze and haven't had any problems with CELs or poor running.

Don't know what kind of numbers it's actually pulling (and it's not worth $125 for me to find out) but the butt dyno is happy. (thumb)

Except that you forgot to vote. :D

hmm im curious to know what the 2 injen voters had to say about the injen intake. I seldom hear about injen but its always revered as excellent, above the competition, or amazing; compared to hearing a lot about K&N and AEM as good stuff or very cool. I dont know how to describe it but it just sounds like injen is a higher end product but the other two brands are not pushovers. So it may just be name recognition/reputation.

between those 3 brands, there's no way one of them is going to be head over heels above the others. Give or take a HP or 2, BFD. Pick the one that will cost less and call it a day.

You should also bear in mind that none of the people who voted for the Injen have it on a Mazda3.

I would also be concerned about which one fits the best.

somehow i forgot about this thread.
i heard goldwing say that AEM had fitting issues at the beggining but the have supposedly fixed them. Was that for AT only or for MT as well?
I guess the number are pretty equal for the three fo them and it just comes down to the quality and the fitting. I am between AEM and Injen. At this point Price is probably pretty hight up there since i also want to get the Draxas exhaust system.
Any advice?
