Cold Air Inake for my MP3?

and with a FMIC, catless midpipe, intake, and SSAFC (similar cost to the mods you have listed) I'll be around 200... turbos make upgrading MUCH easier.

cept I already have all of those but the SSAFC... just need my WGA and I'll be installing the intake and midpipe...

What?? Man, if I get header, and straight pipe, with my AEM intake, I should be close to 160HP! heheheehehehh Me happy now!!!! (naughty)
Um, ya, good luck with that...ie, not gonna happen. You'll be lucky if you get 120 with those mods (silly)

120? MP3 stock is 140HP + AEM intake 8HP + Header 16HP + Straight Pipe 8HP = 172HP! oh yea, zoom, zoom, zoom!!!!!!! -------------->>>>>>>>>>>> (band2)

i try to not over rate my car because really, we dont know how much gain we get for those mods. All we know is that those cars do not take mods very well.

i have a p5 with intake/header and really i cant say to people im now at 150hp. 140 would be more realistic for me and ive already ordered a mp3 ecu so maybe i will be at 150 hp if im lucky. And if its not too expensive, i hope to remove vtcs and port my IM. That should be the last engine mod i put on that car. If i get stg else, it will be more like rims(16inch)/coilovers(slam) to be flush and have a nice car.

it removes butterflies in the intake that improve emissions and cost power (they are alread absent in the MP3 intake).

Porting the intake mani does exactly what you think it would... improves flow in the intake.

again, this is at the fly, not the wheels.

the VCTS removal would leave you very confused... as the MP3 intake is already VCTS-less... as for porting the intake... you remove the intake from the car... take a die grinder to it, and remove material from the ports. google it, you'll find plenty of info.

For what you want to do with the car, and your limited experience (or lack of searching skills?), I would forget about the IM for now...lots of work for very limited gain, especially with a stock head
