Cold Air Box - to buy or not to buy? That is the question...

I am buying the CorkSport SRI for my 2010 MS3 and I was wondering whether I should get the cold air box as well. After all it's $90, so I'd rather skip it if it doesn't make a big difference. What do you guys think?

I wonder, since the air has to go through the turbo (which is hot) and then through the intercooler, does a colder air at the intake really matter? Is it better for the turbo itself to get air that is a bit colder? I'm thinking that considering the temperatures that the turbo runs at, the colder air won't make a difference... But I'm no expert.

What do you guys think?

By the way, I found the EO for the 2010 MS3 in the CARB database a couple of days ago, no need to wait for the stickers

The way I see it, unless you are trying to take another .003 seconds off your quarter mile time, then just dont get it. I love my CS SRI and TIP. But I dont see any reason to get the $90 airbox. I have driven forever without heat soak.

I had a CAI and went SRI. No difference. Think of it this way. Most of the people with FMIC's running over 350whp are using SRI's :).
