First of all I did a search on this topic and couldn't find anything. I have the cobb sri and finally got around to installing my medieval TIP (major PITA, by the way) By the time I was done I was ready to put the car back together and call it a day! To install this I had the battery out of the car so the ECU reset. I've driven around 300 miles since the TIP install and noticed that the airflow seemed restricted. Popped the hood and noticed a huge crease in the cobb silicone piece where it meets the TIP. I must have overlooked this because I was so frustrated installing the TIP. The bracket for the Cobb piece was pulling the silicone too far back(close to the battery.) It caused a major restriction in airflow and I can tell a huge difference in performance. I had to rig up a way to pull the Cobb piece closer to the front of the car. (a trusty zip-tie did the trick) My question is do I need to pull the negative battery cable again to let the ECU re-learn fuel trims? Or do you think it's good?
