I currently have MM, TBE, CAI and a auxilary boost controller that allows my FBC to run 17-18PSI =280whp and 322wtq. car runs great and i really want to get the cobb AP too but i dont want to loose power if i cant use my boost controller. Im hopeing the cobb AP will work at 17 psi safley, anyone know how much boost the cobb AP makes over stock? what do you experts think i should do?

I think you should be hapy with your setup or remove the parts that don't conform to Cobb's maps.

I'm pretty sure a MBC with Cobb's software is a BIG NoNo.

im not running a MBC, i have an ABC which is used with the cobb maps on subarus. it works with the FBC and just bleeds off a small amount of pressure so that the FBC doesnt know its running a pound or two over stock. meaning i keep all the saftey benifits of the FBC and wont have PTFB problems either. and i have a custom CAI.

so far i have seen nothing but problems from the AP. most people who have reviewed it are seriously considering sending it back ! one car shows consistantly slower ET's and trap speeds at the track on the stage 2 AP tune. not to mention the stumbling and stammering it does under heavy thottle. i'm starting to think the stock ecu is plenty good enough for all aplications . let it learn and do its thing for a while and it works just fine.

MBC + MAP CLAMP FTW !!!

with my mods i set my cobb ap to stage1 not stage1+ and there is a huge difference im holding 17 to 19 psi in all gears... deff a huge difference going from stg1+ to stg1 "thats ment for a stock car"

give cobb some time and let the tuning software get to market. they are dedicated to the mazdaspeed3 and once people can get thier eager grubby mitts on the innards of the AP with the tuning software, that's when the floodgates will open. i personally would never have launched the system if the software was not ready, but thats just me. i think six months from now you'll hear alot better things and see alot better results. its tough to pay $700 for potential, i understand that.

when the tuner software comes out it will be golden. I would never used calibrated tunes for my car based off another even if mods were same... Every car is diff
