so im in a debate on if i should go ahead and get rid om my ets 3.25 tmic and get an fmic... or get an ap
since cobb came out with a mscai it could work out i guess
i have a mscai, ets 3.25, turboxs dp/rp (soon to be installed) and turboxs 50/50 hybrid... now the below website states:
"Calibration and Calibration Notes Updated: 06/13/08
Description: Stage2+MSCAI 91 v101 - Intended for an otherwise stock
2007-2008 MAZDASPEED3 vehicle with a turbo-back exhaust system with
a high flow catalytic converter and a Mazdaspeed CAI only, and TMIC.
91 or 92 octane fuel. Boost Targets: ~18.2psi peak boost pressure
tapering down to ~10psi by the 6700 RPM redline, +/- 1.5psi."
and
Hardware Requirements: Otherwise stock vehicle with a MAZDASPEED CAI
INTAKE SYSTEM, STOCK BLOW-OFF VALVE (BOV), and STOCK FUEL INJECTORS
ONLY, tested with a Cobb Tuning turboback exhaust system with highflow
catalytic converter. An equivalent turbo-back exhaust system
could be used. If the turboback exhaust system relieves backpressure
to an excessive point boost creep is possible. If a lesser
flowing turbo-back exhaust system is used then boost targets may not
be achievable. The addition of any other hardware may make the
vehicle perform poorly.
now im not gunna have a cat but i am keeping the stock cat-back... would that make a difference since its back pressure there talking about, but says "equivelent tbe"... and how about the turboxs hybrid 50/50 bov... would that be a problem... what could happen if i dont have a full recirc bov and a tbe w/ hi-flow cat is my question, and use the things i have?
