Well, just got back from the dealership. Took a service technician for a ride and he seemed to be very surprised at how loud the noise was. I also gave him a copy of the previous thread concerning this topic. He told me to post and find out if anyone had disconnected the sway bar in an attempt to better isolate the problem. He is supposed to call me either today or tomorrow, because he is going to call Mazda and get confirmation on whether or not they are aware of the problem. Plus, he told me that he was going to fax a copy of the thread that I gave him to the regional Mazda representative for this portion of the US (I am in Cleveland). Hopefully we get a positive response back this time. I would be happy to know that they are at least aware of the problem... Till then,

im from wooster ohio a little south of you but i just went to the dealer today to ask them about it and they didnt know what it was so let me know so i can raise hell

Wooster huh? That's cool, your the first person that I have met that has an MP3 in Ohio. Here I thought I was pretty cool when I went to Sport Compact Nationals this summer at Norwalk and was the only MP3 there <hehe>. Hmmmm, I have a cousin that just moved to Wooster that I have been meaning to visit... but, either way, I'll post as soon as I have a response.

Hey guys. Hmm Last month i took my car to the dealer to get the clunking noise fixed and it worked~ Well i actually took it in 2 times... the first time i took the printed emails of u guys to them and they putted Lithium lubricant on the bushing... well the noise was gone for a lil while then it came back worst than ever! :mad: then i took it in a second time and Voila~ the problem is fixed now... I asked them wut they did and they said this time they lubed the bushing with CALIPER LUBRICANT.. well hope this helps Cyaz

I went to the dealer, and asked them to put the caliper lube on. When I went to pick it up, the mechanic was already gone. I was told he lubed it with something, but not what? The noise is gone, and I'm waiting to see how long it lasts. It's only been 4-5 days now.
