Cloudy Paint?

:
2021 RDX A-Spec
In certain lights and certain angles I'm noticing that my paint is slightly "clouded," particularly on the hood. I have the True Silver color, btw. I keep the car detailed, polished, and garaged, so I'm 110% positive it isn't an after-purchase blemish. Could the paint job be defective???

Well it looks flawless 99.9% of the time, but I notice weirdness at certain angles when it is under the lighting in my parking garage. I wonder if it really is a minor flaw, or just an optical illusion. I think I'll have my dealership give me their opinion during my next oil change.

What year is the car? If its several years old it could be the clear starting to lose its adhesion with the basecoat. It could be from polishing too much which thins the clear prematurely.

If the car is pretty new it may be a defect from the factory and you may be able to get the dealership to cover the costs of the repair.

If you could take a picture of it I may be able to give you a better assesment of the damage. :)

Oh and one more thing, different lighting DOES make a huge difference when looking at automotive paint. It could just be the type of bulb you're looking at it with. Natural sunlight is the best....can you still see it outside?

It is my brand new CX-7. It is very weird. I notice it when the car is in my garage (where there are flourescent lights). On certain parts of the hood I swear there are clouds when I look at it from a certain angle, like the paint has cataracts, haha. But I don't notice it any other time (except maybe twice during partly-cloudy weather). I'll try to take a picture, but it might just be the lights creating an illusion.
