Clear Bumper Lens

i made up a "rubber gasket" for the lens i bought. i'll take some pick once i get them on.

I heard a heat gun will take off the amber lens. It is something a buddy from Chicago told me. I will give him a call to see about any details. I've been wanting to do this but it's too damn cold here right now

i made it out of rubberized foam. i don't have it on yet, but i'm sure it will be water tight. i'll get some pic's up this weekend, if it warms up outside!! it's 2 degrees today!!!!

Ok... I just got my clear bumper lights today.. they are the celica ones. I'm looking for some directions as to how to install them.. can someone please help me out??
thanks

Awesome.. thanks so much! I guess I know what I'll be doing after work tommorrow.. :D

Rubber door trim. The stuff you use to put along the edge of the door to keep it from getting scratched.

I picked the rubber door trim at any Auto-zone type place. It's the stuff that also comes in chrome, and looks really ghetto whem ppl put them on the doors of their cars. Yeah, those are the Pro-Car parts ones. You have to cut alot of plastic off the back of the lens, and you have to trim the bumper just a hair.

EDIT: Almost forgot, you have to peel the black foam trim off that comes on the lens' .

Double Edit: Procarparts has them on e-bay alot cheaper, so if you get them, get them from e-bay.

anyone that plans on being home tonight wanna share there home number incase I have an questions?? :)

I have a pair of RX-7 clears on my bumper now. With a touch more cutting of the bumper, the lenses fitted perfectly, without having anything on their back shaved.
The only problem I found was that the lenses weren't flush against the bumper, leaving a gap about the thickness of a quarter. And that they moved back and forth slightly.
This may sound a bit ghetto, but the way I remedied this problem was by wedging a few coins in between the screw that holds the lens in place and the bumper.
The lenses are now flush against the bumper and secured very well. In fact, I didn't have to use any excess door trimming whatsoever. The stock lenses snap back into place as well, with no problem.
I'd take some pics, but my digicam has suffered an early death. :( I'll shoot you a PM with my number if you need help installing :)

awesome.. I'll look for your pm..
I may need some help once I get started on this tonight.

Looks very good. Not to crazy about the way it lights up though, I like more of a uniform look throughtout the lens. :D Good Job!
