Cleaning the "Honeycomb" Grill

Kind of a mundane question, but does anyone have any suggestions on the most efficient way to clean the grill on the P5 (upper and lower)? It's a royal pain the arse to do. Aside from a toothbrush or some small brush to do each 'hole', I have no ideas. Dirt collects in there nicely.

yeah i just washed the car today and those pissed me off.

i think a drinking glasses brush would do good. (looks like an oversized pipe cleaner)

I use a soft fiber brush they say you can use it to wash the car but I use it to clean grills and wheels. You can find them at auto part store or Wal-mart type store. Bristols should be about two inch in order to do a good job.

Do NOT use high pressure...your aluminum radiator is behind there and might get damaged. Obviously it's a PITA, but the best way is what everyone else suggests -- a small brush and a few minutes of your time.

Putting on Armoral or Turtle Wax 2001 after its clean really brings out the black and makes it shine.

hi pressure is not going to hurt your radiator unless it is like 2500lbs or something but most high pressure hose are like 1500 i do it all the time.

I'd be worried about bending some of the fins on the radiator. They're only aluminum after all...it would be a real b**** to replace. I use regular hose pressure to clean the grill and any debris from the front of the radiator, but I'd be wary of using anything with higher pressure.

Maybe a pressure washer won't hurt it, but I'd rather not take the chance. To quote Dennis Miller: "That's just my opinion, I could be wrong."
